Dorfman Pacific’s latest catch: Greek fisherman’s caps from Aegean International

Stockton, CA and New York—Dorfman Pacific, a leading headwear supplier, recently added to its already vast array of brands and looks with its purchase of Aegean International Inc., maker of Greek Fisherman’s caps.

Since 1886, Greek Fisherman’s caps have been handmade in an ancient town outside Athens, Greece. For almost 30 years, Aegean International Inc, has been supplying these special hats to customers in North America. Aegean’s quality guarantee is for the lifetime of the cap and each one comes with a certificate of authenticity. The collection features versions in primarily cotton and wool and retails range about $25 to $40.

Las Vegas Debut

“We know what today’s consumers really want and value—and we are expanding by both growth and acquisition wherever and whenever it makes sense,” said Douglas Highsmith, president/chief executive at Dorfman Pacific. “Aegean International, Inc, offers unique, impressive products and we look forward to maximizing its distribution and bringing the collection to more consumers. It is a perfect fit for us and we are happy to have it join our well-regarded portfolio of power brands.”

According to Todd Gardner, senior vice president of merchandise/marketing at Dorfman Pacific, Dorfman will officials launch its Aegean caps during the MAGIC show in Las Vegas later this month.

“Dorfman Pacific instinctively understands Aegean’s place in the market and we confidently anticipate that it will go from strength to strength in the seasons and years to come,” Gardner added.
