Ready for a STORY pitch night?
STORY – the famed retail store in Chelsea that reinvents itself every one to two months with a new themed story – is looking for new and creative designers. To that end, it’s brought back its signature PITCH NIGHT (Thursday, Feb 16, 6-9pm), inviting designers and manufacturers to pitch a physical product to a panel of media and retailers.
This go-round, designers won’t just be pitching to STORY CEO and founder Rachel Shechtman (center), but also Peggy Wang, Editorial Director, Buzzfeed, and Chay Costello, Associate Director of Merchandising at The Museum of Modern Art!
“Pitches don’t need to be related to any upcoming story. Just amazing merchandise that’s ready to go!”
–Rachel Schechtman, STORY

PITCH NIGHT HOW TO’S
Ready to be discovered?
- Step 1: RSVP to PitchNight@ThisisSTORY.com with images and information about your product.
- Step 2: Show up with a finished, ready-to-go product. Your product must currently be in production (no sketches), ready to be shipped and sold at retail.
- Step 3: Mix and mingle with fellow thinkers hoping to make it big. Due to limited space, only people pitching will be permitted to attend. (Press may reply to credentials). If you’ve pitched before, you may not submit again.
- Step 4: Give your pitch. In a 3-minute pitch, share your product and its story and tell they panel why your goods are the next great thing. You may pitch multiple products as long as they fall into the 3-minute pitch.
