Iconic luxury accessories brand Judith Leiber is getting a twist.
Through a unique partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABC), Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger signs on as co-owner, collaborator, global brand ambassador and creative director. The partnership taps into Ocleppo Hilfiger’s award winning expertise in business, brand and product development with the goals of extending the brand’s equity to new categories, distribution channels, and territories.
“Judith Leiber embodies femininity, luxury and glamour,” said Nick Woodhouse, President and CMO of ABG. “Dee’s style and creative influence will infuse the brand with a new and relevant outlook that will be integrated across core and new categories.” Woodhouse went on to say, “The partnership brings a real opportunity to expand the Judith Leiber footprint across the fashion, fragrance and accessories industries.”
As creative director and co-owner of the Judith Leiber brand, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger will collaborate with ABG on the development and expansion of Judith Leiber product categories, retail distribution, and marketing. In addition to Judith Leiber handbags, footwear and eyewear, Dee will oversee the expansion into apparel, jewelry, and beauty. The first Judith Leiber X Dee Ocleppo capsule collection is planned to launch in stores and online in Holiday 2017.
Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, Mother, Wife, Designer and Entrepreneur, is a renowned luxury handbag designer who launched her first versatile luxury handbag collection in 2012 leading her to be recognized with the “Rising Star Award” for accessories by Fashion Group International. With the success of Dee’s first venture in the accessories industry she went on to expand her universal handbag collection with the Bag Bar patent which was later acquired by the legendary lifestyle brand, Kate Spade & Co.
