Commemorative T-Shirts once again benefit New York City AIDS Fund

New York—Fashion’s Night Out (FNO), the annual event that celebrates the fashion industry and encourages consumers to shop, is promising that this year’s celebration, Thursday, Sept. 6, will be the biggest yet.

Last year, FNO was observed in 18 countries and more than 4,500 events in the United States along. Featuring special limited-edition merchandise, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable performances, FNO 2012 will be more exciting and more fun than ever.

As in previous years, participating retailers will be selling the official 2012 Fashion’s Night Out collection of shirts and bags starting at $25, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the New York City AIDS Fund.

Events are being added daily so by Sept. 6, there’ll be even more to choose from.

Among the events already posted on include:

●Meet the reality stars at Lord & Taylor: Kim Kardashian, “Real Housewife” Jill Zarin and Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

●Karaoke challenge at Alexis Bittar’s SoHo Boutique where participants get a $50 store gift certificate.

●Henry Bendel is bringing Las Vegas to NYC with a Cirque du Soleil performance at its 5th Ave flagship.

●Shop to indie bands We Were Promised Jetpacks and The Lonely Forest at Rockefeller Center, which will also host a fashion show showcasing 30 Rock shops.

●Solange Knowles deejays Diane von Furstenberg’s party hosted by “Girls” star Allison Williams.

●Get some kitchen tips from “Chopped” chef Marc Murphy at Bloomingdale’s, which also boasts “Gossip Girl’s” Kelly Rutherford and designer Carmen Marc Valvo.

●L.K. Bennett is shuttling guests to and from Columbus Circle aboard a double-decker bus.

FNO will keep adding on stores and celebs in the weeks running up to the big night, so check for an updated list of events.
