In What's New, Industry News by Accessories Staff

There is never a dull moment for Christian Louboutin.

To showcase his latest Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, he released “La Répétition,” an entertaining short film that shows choreographer and filmmaker Blanca Li training a group of professional dancers.

Inspired by the musical “A Chorus Line,” the film is very tongue-in-cheek, complete with a demanding choreographer and energetically chic dancers-in-training, all clad in Louboutin’s shoes and bags.

Now, let’s talk about the merchandise.

For shoes, colorblocking is key, as seen in some dressy sandals and suede booties. A lot of footwear are also adorned with metallic studs, fur or lace. Louboutin himself is known for taking inspiration from the art of dance for some of his previous collections.

As for the bags, some of them have metallic accents, as seen in spiked, solid-colored leather handbags. Duffel bags are also available, as well as animal print clutches with fringe details.
