What Fall fashion trends are you most excited about? How are you looking to translate this for your customer with accessories?
Shades of red, velvet, faux fur, soft shoulder bags, kitten heels as well as lace up and slouchy boots are big for Fall. Our customer responds really well to these color and style trends. Our offering in each these categories is strong and we’re excited to round out the assortment with exclusive options that our customer can incorporate into her lifestyle.
What’s one item you saw on the Fall runways that you can’t wait to see interpreted at May Market?
The slouchy knee boot – excited to see how we can take this high-fashion, statement piece and present it to our girl in a wearable way.
A lot for Fall seems so lush, from sequins to velvet to glitter to embroidery. How are you capturing this for your customers?
Our customer is always open to trying new trends! We have great options coming in all accessories categories from shoes, handbags, jewelry, sock and belts.
Chokers came, saw and conquered! How are they evolving? What are you seeking next in jewelry?
Chokers are still strong, but the style has moved from velvet to metal chains in double layers. We are excited for heirloom jewelry for Fall, such as the notion of sentimental value in pendants, lockets and signet rings.
In handbags, consumers seem to be open to new brands… what have you discovered lately or are excited about seeing?
Our customer reacts to newness. She gets excited about fabrication and details so we love the runway fabric interpretation into bags. Velvet, embroidery, satin, fur (both real and faux).
What’s a new item/category you recently added? Something a bit outside the box?
Sugarfina! Champagne Gummy Bears!
Where’s your favorite place to go for a drink/dinner in NYC during Market, either with clients or with your team?
The Nomad is always a go-to!
