There are a lot of things going on in fashion now, and the CFDA just added something new to look forward to this year.
To be exact, the fashion council announced yesterday its nominees for its 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards, slated for a June 5 big event. Held in New York City’s West Village area, style authorities such as Anna Wintour graced the event to disclose which designers and creatives are in the running for the annual event’s lineup of honors and awards.
This year also marks a change for the CFDA, as it has unified the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent for womenswear, accessories, and menswear. The organization also brings in the Swarovski Award for Positive Change, which will be given to an American designer that has made a positive impact in the fashion community.
