Carolina Amato, a leader designer of gloves, hats, scarves and other fashion accessories, is expanding into jewelry.

New York – Carolina Amato, a leading maker of gloves, hats, scarves and other fashion accessories, is expanding into jewelry. The designer, who has been selling accessories for more than 30 years, signed a license agreement with Glitterings, a fashion and sterling silver jewelry manufacturer.

Under the agreement, Glitterings will develop six to 10 fashion jewelry collections per year under the creative direction of Carolina Amato.  The line will be fashion/social occasion in styling, featuring bold designs and utilizing various stones, colors and combinations of materials including, semiprecious, opaque, Swarovski crystal and cubic zirconium,.  The collection, which will include necklaces, earrings, bracelets and statement rings, will retail from $40 to $300.  Distribution is targeted for better specialty stores, high end department stores, and exclusive boutiques across the country.  The first Collection, “The Sea” for Resort 2010 will debut online for retail selling starting in November of 2010 at
