CHRISTIAN DIOR

Dior’s Fall / Winter 2017 show transcended fashion with a message of feminism and clear military references. Berets topped off looks, as a direct interpretation of military uniforms. Layered delicate jewelry and sheer tier dresses added femininity to the collection, while the retro Dior logo marched on. And one last look to note, the use of the color blue throughout.

VALENTINO

Contrary to fashion’s current “resistance” look, Valentino gave a nod to Victoriana with a collection meant for escapists wanting to get away from it all. Clothing was vibrant, patterned and loose-fitting, while accessories were abundant. Micro mini bags, layered bags, and the bag charm took center stage with stacked rings cast in whimsical designs and flower motifs played a supporting role.
