Dries Van Noten’s Fall ’16 collection had a noticeable variation of animal prints such as tiger, jaguar and leopard mixed with other animal details such as feather chokers.  The elegant yet dark collection reference the 1930s and 40s and showcased models in impeccable and dark accessories such as gold lamé shoes, green furs, and ties with pearl-topped pins.

Maison Margiela

Maison Margiela

John Galliano’s Fall 2016 collection for Maison Margiela was all about melding beauty and brutality, a “raw-core” aesthetic that was evident in futuristic deconstructed styling seen on the runway.  Oversized belts with big buckles are cinched around the waist, while the stand out item was the armlets, arm warmers or gauntlet gloves.  These oversize armlets were done in fur, western inspired prints and chunky knits.
