Karl Lagerfeld makes classic dressing modern in his Fall 2016 collection for Chanel. Suits were paired with leather belts cinched around the waist, boater hats with metallic and shine finished as well as leather riding boots lending an equestrian touch. And of course, there’s the piling of pearl necklaces, as well as chain collars with pave accents.

Riccardo Tisci looked to ancient Egypt and Greek mythology for his Fall 2016 show in Paris Fashion Week. Cropped jackets and figure-hugging dresses had unique graphics, where images of The Eye of Horus were prominent. Animal prints such as snakeskin and leopard were used metallic leather jackets inspired by the wings of Icarus. The key to this collection was mixing prints and graphics to create a vivid statement.
