Marc Jacobs closed NYFW as one of the last designers to show. His Fall/Winter 17 collection was inspired by the documentary “Hip-Hop Evolution,” and a nod to the generation that founded youth culture style was evident in the track pants, shiny Lurex party dresses and retro knit patterns. Accessories were culturally relevant as well: molded high-crown bucket hats (clearly inspired by Kangol), ’80s bling-ish jewelry with layered gold chains and hoops, heavy pendants, retro color patterned handbags and of course the single earring!
SEE BY CHLOE
See by Chloe’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection was a rustic romance line-up complete with floral embroidery and prints, delicate knits with ruffle and lace trims, and work-wear inspired trousers and jackets. The accessories stayed on trend with English tomboy-inspired lace-up boots, patchwork bags and lots of little add-on pouches and bag charms!
