Raf Simons made his debut this morning as the new creative director for Calvin Klein, which happened to be one of the most highly anticipated collections we can remember! Raf’s main goal was to bring energy and excitement back to Calvin Klein brand. The F/W 17 collection was full of bright hues, cut-out silhouettes and some major underlining sex appeal with transparent tops and plastic accents. Accessories ranged from cowboy boots, boxy shaped handbags to metal rope-like tie belts and plastic pumps with colorful wing accents hitting at the heel. The collection was effortless and cool, a fresh and rejuvenating new beginning for the all-American fashion house!
Ulla Johnson’s career is booming and with e-commerce sites such as net-a-porter picking up her line it looks like there is a lot more to come for her brand. The Fall/Winter 2017 collection was cheerful yet sharp, the rosy collection consisted of crushed velvet jumpsuits, wide-leg trousers and ultra-feminine silk maxi-dresses. Accessories were chic and contemporary–Johnson worked with Sonia Boyajian for mismatched shoulder-duster earrings and designer Garrett Leight for a new line of opticals.
