Rebecca Minkoff takes a general approach to her latest showing, with inter-seasonal styles and pieces. Seen on her presentation are peasant dresses, outerwear such as leather jackets and animal print coats. And let’s get to the bags, shall we? Most of her accessories now are structured, boxy leather bags with youthful metal embellishments and colorful tassel accents.
Hanako Maeda looks back to Japan’s arts and crafts roots for her latest collection, using traditional patchwork and braiding in her clothes. Although honoring Japanese traditions, Maeda’s pieces look contemporary, especially the styling of wide-legged trousers with off-the-shoulder tops with origami folds. Ribbon closures that pull tight offer interest and inspiration.
