Tory BurchColorful patchwork and oversized harlequin-like diamonds dotted the Tory Burch runways, appearing on everything from belts to coats to handbags. Silk scarves were tied as neckerchiefs, adding a sharp accent.

At first glance, it’s hard to see how Lubov Azria used David Bowie as a reference for Fall 2016, but as they say, it’s all in the details. Here, it’s the use of leggings made with Lurex, a glittered synthetic fiber, something that Ziggy Stardust could’ve worn. These leggings were paired with clothes such as wool coats, geometrically-printed dresses and embellished leather skirts—an exercise in putting just the right amount of sparkle in fashion.
