Like its men’s show last month, Prada’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection was a study in late ’60s and early ’70s style. The look translated into clothing with multicolored patchwork graphics and adorned in feathers, crystal fringe and other far-out details. Accessories like furry-textured belts and bags, coldweather boots, and slouchy handbags with ostrich-feathered handles took center stage.
Gone are the days of cutesy and kitschy, Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection was all grown up. Designer Karl Lagerfeld sent sophisticated, ladylike silhouettes down the runway that got vamped up in moody colors and risque over-the-knee boots. Fendi’s signature fur was used to create graphics and used on handbag straps. He layered handbags with the Fendi F logo and hoop earrings topped off each retro silhouette.
