Bloomingdale’s & Everlast Knock-out Breast Cancer

Bloomingdale’s has teamed up with boxing brand Everlast and 14 fashion designers to really help “knock out” Breast Cancer.

The retailer commissioned the 14 designers to decorate a pair of Everlast boxing gloves, which are being auctioned off on  Charitybuzz.com. Proceeds from the auction benefit BCRF. Participating designers include: Alice + Olivia, APL, Bally, Bloomingdale’s, Charlotte Tilbury, Fila, MCM, Michael Aram, Rag & Bone, Ralph Lauren, Sachin & Babi, Sean John, Swarovski and Zac Posen.

This is the 14th consecutive year that Bloomingdale’s has supported breast cancer awareness and treatment during the month of October. This year’s efforts will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), The Carey Foundation and the Marisa Acocella Foundation.

Consumers can view the gloves on the arcade level of the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street store throughout the month of October (punching bags are set up to bring the installation to life and let consumers let off some steam!), and Everlast merchandise and apparel will be on hand.

For that Instagrammable moment to help spread the word, the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street will feature larger-than-life boxing gloves by Ghostly Ferns artist Jen Mussari will be on display, creating awareness for breast cancer. In addition, on October 20th, Bloomingdale’s around the country will host Everlast boxing classes.

The Everlast collaboration isn’t the only event happening around Breast Cancer during the month of October at the retailer. Bloomingdale’s will also host Saturday Pink fitness classes before store hours (a $10 reservation benefits Marisa Acocella and The Carey foundations). Bloomingdale’s will also feature Pink merchandise in curated in-store pop-up shops. The shops will feature the Ghostly Ferns S’well bottles, reusable Little Pink Bags, Bobbi Brown lip sets, the Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection, an assortment of Everlast apparel and an exclusive Pink bracelet from David Yurman.
