Eugenia Kim’s Retrospective Collection has been 20 years in the making. Now, just in time for New York Fashion Week, the visionary milliner has a 20-year retrospective at Barney’s New York featuring 20 of her most iconic styles.

“I went through 20 years’ worth of product and looked at old Polaroid photos just trying to think of what people would remember me for,” Kim tells Barneys Blog The Window. “Whether that was Jennifer Lopez at the VMAs wearing my designs or Madonna modeling a cap in L’Uomo Vogue, or even the haircut hats i made for Zoolander—there just have been so many moments.”

Consisting of the best of early 2000’s fashion, items to be shown include pieces worn by JLO and Janet Jackson to the 2001 VMA’s, and Britney Spears’ 2002 Crossroads movie premier; to Beyoncé’s 2018 Grammy’s black leather beret. There’s nostalgic styles as well as those that look forward.
