New York—Adrienne Vittadini is soon to be seeing very clearly. The company just signed a license for non-prescription sunglasses and readers with eyewear manufacturer B. Robinson.

B. Robinson’s debut collection will launch with 16 sun styles and 6 readers for the Summer/Fall 2012 collections.

“Accessories are a key part of the Adrienne Vittadini Brand DNA,” says Mary Gleason, president of Adrienne Vittadini, which has been a division of the Schottenstein Luxury Group since 2007. “B. Robinson understands our mission and we look forward to collaborating with them on this exciting venture.”

Featuring “classic shapes and elegant colorations,” the frames will be primarily acetate with metal logos. Retails range from $65 to $95 with a select capsule collection for top-tier retailers capping off at $150.

A lifestyle range of eyewear is a natural addition to the brand’s expanding roster which currently includes, handbags, footwear, fragrance, jewelry, legwear, luggage, small leather goods, and optical eyewear as well as Adrienne Vittadini Collection and Better Ready-to-wear collections.

The optical license is held by Match Eyewear, which took over after the license with Luxottica expired in 2009.

“Adrienne Vittadini is an iconic American brand and an important staple of many department and specialty stores throughout the United States. We are excited to partner with the new Adrienne Vittadini management as they introduce the brand to a whole new generation of consumers,” says Cliff Robinson, co-president of B. Robinson, a third generation family owned and operated company.

Other B. Robinson brands include Cole Haan, Cynthia Rowley, Izod and London Fog. As part of its Legacie Duivision, the company manufacturers PURE Eyewear, Judith Leiber Eyewear, Kata Eyewear, Betsey Johnson Eyewear and a partnership for the distribution of David Yurman Eyewear.
