Amazon Prime Day will begin at midnight tonight, Pacific Time, and will offer more than 100,000 deals in all departments, making this the biggest shopping event Amazon has ever had. Even bigger than last year’s Black Friday for Amazon.
Last year’s Amazon Prime Day was the biggest single day sales in Amazon history. Customers ordered 34.4 million items and Amazon gained between $375 million and $400 million in revenue from this single event. After last year’s Prime Day, several customers complained that it did not live up to the hype. As a result, Amazon has promised bigger and better deals for this years Prime Day with even more TV deals than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. Leading up to tomorrow’s big event, Amazon has been toying with shopper’s emotions this past week with daily deals to create hype.
The most important aspect of Amazon Prime Day is that customers must be an Amazon Prime member in order to participate in all of the deals. For non-members, there’s still plenty of time to sign up for a Prime membership.
