Agabhumi Brings Balinese Artisans to the World

In eCommerce, What's New, Industry News by Lauren Parker, Accessories Magazine

Going to Bali this winter break? Us neither *sigh* but that won’t stop us from searching website Agabhumi for the latest accessories and fashion items from Balinese artisans.

Agabhumi (meaning “ancient firmament”) is a slice of “heaven on Earth,” offering jewelry, apparel and accessories imbued in the mystical culture of this tropical paradise.  The best part? The photos will give you serious wanderlust!

Co-owners Regina and Michael Kirshbaum, who worked in merchandising and marketing at Bergdorf Goodman for several years prior to their start with Agabhumi, have made it their mission to showcase the talents of the people of Bali. As creative director, Regina works side-by-side with each craftsperson, elevating their wares with on-trend designs that are relevant and on trend for the modern consumer.

“We first fell in love with Bali, its people and their culture on vacation years ago,” says Regina. “During our visit, a serendipitous reunion with a Balinese family that Michael stayed with decades earlier help sow the seeds for our entrepreneurial venture. We would introduce local artisans to high-fashion design trends and showcase their wares.”
