Adidas by Stella McCartney has a new face: Carmen Jorda, a world reknown F1 development driver whose dynamic and fast-paced lifestyle fits in with the brand’s groundbreaking DNA.
When the sneaker and fashion brands first teamed up six years ago, way ahead of the athleisure trend, combining style with technologically-advanced sportswear was somewhat unheard of. Over the years, the brand has grown with the help of its ongoing marketing campaign that celebrates women who train in various athletic disciplines. Karlie Kloss, Caroline Wozniacki and Garbiñe Muguruza have already repped the label, and now Jorda is bringing its brand ethos to life with her own unique story.
As a rising star in the Formula 1 race car circuit, Jorda continually defies and redefines the expectations of her male-dominated industry. She hopes that partnering with Adidas will help to empower a young generation of women to accomplish more by taking on new challenges and pushing themselves further than ever before.
“I am so proud to have joined the Adidas by Stella McCartney family. I work in a very male-dominated industry, so I constantly have to prove I deserve to be where I am,” says Jorda. “I love the challenges that brings me because when I do succeed, it’s so much more rewarding”. I think it’s important to encourage women to push themselves to carve out their own paths and I look forward to doing that with adidas by Stella McCartney.”
