New York—Accessory Exchange has launched its newest handbag collection, olivia + joy, which will debut exclusively at Macy’s in April. Other retailers will get distribution for7/25 and beyond delivery.

“I am very excited to announce the launch of our newest division, olivia + joy,” says Abe Dweck, president of Accessory Exchange. “We have been challenged by many of our key retail partners to inject some excitement back into the handbag department,” says Dweck, “and with olivia + joy that is exactly what we have done. The general consensus was that the handbag departments were becoming too predictable, so olivia + joy was created to offer fashion savvy-consumers affordable bags that are on trend. The collection will represent the hottest handbag and accessories of the moment—delivering the right trend at the right time.”

Retail pricepoints will range from $48 to $98. This first collection is both pretty and edgy–offering studs and chains, as well as ruffles and bows with a new twist. Color palettes are varied—from black and white for the rocker girl to muted pastels for the girly girl. The line includes twists on well-known silhouettes, such as the convertible mini bags with removal straps that turn into a clutch, and more.

Accessory Exchange plans to expand to belts and legwear for 4th quarter.  The company is also the licensee for XOXO handbags and US Polo Association, and best known for its collaboration with the House of Dereon Accessories Collection. They recently signed a licensing agreement with Cynthia Rowley for handbags and small leathergoods as well.
