ABS Scarves New York—Designer brand A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz, known for its elegant and fun dresses, has just added one more accessories category to its roster: scarves.

La Fiorentina, a manufacturer of elegant fur, cashmere and silk scarves, has teamed up with ABS for its first-ever scarf launch, making its debut this holiday season.

“We worked from the dresses, incorporating the trims and embellishments that ABS is known for. We even made one scarf that uses material from a variety of the dresses,” says Ben Hassan, president of La Fiorentina. This item is shown at bottom.

The 25- to 30-piece collection features mainly oblong silhouettes with beads, sequins, lace, ruffles and other embellishments. Retails range from $70 to $80.

Holiday_'13_Page_2The ABS brand got a boost after designer Allen Schwartz, who launched the company in 1982 and is known as “the master of trend,” partnered with Armand Marciano, formerly of Guess Inc, in 2003. This strategic partnership allows Schwartz to focus and closely control design and production while Marciano drives licensee and distribution initiatives.
