SeikoMahwah, NJ– On July 6, Sunday, Novak Djokovic won his second Wimbledon title. As his watch partner, Seiko is delighted to congratulate Novak, and proud to see him wearing his new Limited Edition Seiko Astron GPS watch as he collected the trophy. This win is Novak’s seventh Grand Slam victory, his 45th ATP trophy, and takes Novak back to the No.1 ranking in world tennis.

Even before Wimbledon, 2014 had been a great year for Novak with wins in Indian Wells, Miami and Rome, but now a good year has become great one, and there are still several tournaments to play

The Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph Novak Djokovic Limited Edition has been custom made for Novak. It carries Novak’s signature on the case back and is offered in a special presentation box. It is to be released worldwide in November 2014, and just 2,500 will be made.

When Novak Djokovic selected Seiko as his watch partner, it was the new Astron GPS Solar collection that particularly caught his eye, and Novak has worn Astron ever since.

The new Seiko Astron GPS Solar Novak Djokovic Limited Edition is based on the new chronograph caliber that was introduced at Baselworld 2014. This remarkable caliber, like all watches in the Astron collection, adjusts to every time zone on earth at the touch of a button so that, no matter where Novak’s quest for tennis glory may take him, he has always the exact time on his wrist. Seiko estimates that Novak’s 2014 global travel schedule would normally require him to adjust his watch at least 60 times. With Astron, he does not have to worry about it once.

The 8X82 caliber offers Novak two new functions–a six-hour chronograph and an electronic function in the crown for even easier adjustment of the secondary functions. Furthermore, the new watch is 30% smaller in size than the existing 7X caliber. This size has been achieved by a new advance in Astron’s energy-saving technology which allows the watch to connect to the GPS network with a smaller antenna.

The Novak Djokovic Limited Edition has unique appeal, thanks to the black ceramic bezel, the extra-strength silicon strap and the rose-gold tone of the steel case. The case back carries Novak’s name and signature with each watch’s own serial number engraved beneath.
