New York—As part of its first ever collaboration with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty, Swarovski is launching an interactive social media campaign to celebrate the launch of the iconic character latest collection of jewelry, handbags, small leathergoods and crystal figures.
To kick off the introduction, Swarovski will be introducing its first mobile app on August 1 that permits fans to customize their Facebook profile photos with a Hello Kitty sparkling pink bow. When 10,000 photos have been created, Swarovski plans to give away 10 pieces from its collection to lucky fans.
Facebook Page to Feature 3D Animation
Swarovski’s Facebook page will also have a jewelry box that provides a preview of the new product line and also will allow users to create Hello Kitty wallpaper for their mobile phones.
In addition, on August 1, Swarovski’s Facebook page will premiere an interactive product catalog of the collection, which will utilize 3D animation and augmented reality technology.

Swarovski’s Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/SWAROVSKIcom) has 1,317,081 likes. According to a report issued by PM Digital, Swarovski ranked No. 10 in terms of number of Facebook likes among fashion brands.
