New York—September issues of consumer fashion magazine are known for their debuts of the latest and greatest from a range of designers and brands. This fall, InStyle magazine is taking that fashion clout a step further, by introducing a limited edition, capsule collaboration of footwear with Nine West.
The InStyle for Nine West Collection, a “first-of-its-kind collaboration,” consists of 26 pairs including single sole pumps, polished ankle boots, and chic flats in a range of colors and materials including suede, calf hair and patent leather.
Ranging at retail from $79 to $149, the collection is available currently available on NineWest.com, and at select Nine West boutiques in the United States and Canada beginning August 16.
Instagram Contest Planned
“This is the first time Nine West has collaborated with a media outlet. Nine West and InStyle both have loyal customers that crave accessible fashion. I can’t think of a better partner,” said Richard Dickson, president/ceo of branded businesses at The Jones Group, Nine West’s parent. “InStyle readers look to the magazine every month for unwavering style advice, while Nine West customers look to us as a resource for stylish, modern footwear–together, the brands are a natural fit.”
In addition to branded displays at retail, the launch includes a dedicated 12-page editorial booklet in the September issue of InStyle, the largest in the publication’s 19-year history. The booklet features product imagery and tips from the editors on how to style each shoe; booklets will also be distributed at retail.
As part of the promotion for the capsule collection, consumers are invited to post an Instagram photo of themselves wearing their shoes with the hashtag #9WInStyle, for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be featured in an upcoming issue of InStyle.
