LIM College, which focuses exclusively on the study of business and fashion, received approval from the New York State Board of Regents to offer a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree program in Fashion Marketing starting next fall.
According to Dr. Christopher J. Cyphers, executive vice president of LIM College, “The addition of this new MPS program is but one of several examples of the College’s effort at diversifying its curriculum to appeal to a broader segment of prospective graduate students seeking entree into the fashion industry.”
The MPS in Fashion Marketing is the latest addition to LIM College’s graduate-level offerings, which also include an MBA with tracks in Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship and an MPS degree program in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management.
The LIM College Master of Professional Studies in Fashion Marketing is a 30-credit program. Courses are designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge about current marketing and business trends, giving them a competitive edge when pursuing positions in today’s fashion marketing arenas. The first 24 credits are core courses which culminate in a three-credit capstone project where participants will utilize the skills they have developed throughout the program. Students will also be able to complete an additional three-credit internship. Full-time students will complete the program in three semesters throughout one calendar year.
The MPS in Fashion Marketing is designed for individuals who do not have previous professional experience in the fashion industry and are seeking a career change.
Fashion Marketing encompasses a wide range of areas and disciplines, including consumer insights, fashion services, public relations, promotions, luxury branding, cause marketing, and digital media in the wholesale, retail and e-commerce spaces.
