New York—JCPenney may have just signed “Project Runway” judge Nina Garcia to its fashion team, but New York & Co. is teaming up with Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti, founder of Vivre.com and mentor on last year’s “Project Accessory” TV series.
Her limited edition capsule collection will be available online and in New York & Co.’s 537 stores nationwide in October.
The apparel and accessories collection will include “items ranging from statement bracelets, necklaces and handbags to embellished and sophisticated jackets, tops and pants.” Jeanbart-Lorenzotti’s signature snake motif is a major design element throughout the collection—seen on the logo, bracelet cuffs and closure details on clutches.
“New York is my favorite city, my chosen home, my muse. Its color and movement provide endless excitement for me,” said Jeanbart-Lorenzotti. For her first collection, she says she channeled the “city’s magnetism and style” to create the designs.
Besides her stint on “Project Accessory,” Jeanbeat-Lorenzotti, who founded Vivre in 2001, was named as one of the “10 most stylish women in fashion” by Vogue.
