This philanthropic shoe sale to benefit breast cancer research and education airs on QVC Wednesday, October 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. (EST). Style icon Nicole Richie is the spokesperson.
Coinciding annually with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event has sold over one million pairs of shoes and donated more than $38 million to the cause since its inception in 1995.
Half Off Deal
To sweeten the deal for consumers, and raise even more money for breast cancer research and education, shoppers will be additionally enticed. More than 90,000 pairs of shoes from more 80 brands will be offered at HALF the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
Nine West Footwear Corporation, Brown Shoe Company and Camuto Group are designated the event’s “Special Pink Benefactors,” with each donating more than $500,000 worth of shoes (brands including Enzo Angiolini, Bandolino and AK Anne Klein as well as Via Spiga, Etienne Aigner, Carlos by Carlos Santana, Vince Camuto, Jessica Simpson, BCBGeneration and LUCKY Brand). Other companies donating shoes include Chinese Laundry, Guess, Kenneth Cole New York, MICHAEL by Michael Kors and more.
And while pink remains a key thread among many styles, there are plenty of shoes to be had in other colors.
In a true multi-media event, the philanthropic opportunities extend beyond the October 24th broadcast. Shoppers can also buy the event’s “Shoe of the Day,” offered each weekday from 7 to 9 a.m. (ET) on QVC during the entire month of October. In fact, consumers can get involved even before the broadcast by shopping the online collection on QVC.com beginning October 1 and continuing throughout the month, while supplies last.
