Suffern, NY–Teachers truly have the most important job, and retailer dressbarn is making sure they receive extra credit where it’s due.

Each year, the retailer hosts Teacher V.I.P. (Very Indulgent Party) shopping events, where teachers receive bonus points (15% off). The parties are held one of the following days from September 30 through October 3.

“Teachers give so much of themselves to our children, and it’s a privilege to be able to give something back,” says Vivian Behrens, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of dressbarn inc. “We believe that teachers are special, and we want them to feel that way. At our V.I.P. event, we look forward to welcoming teachers with great personal service and fashion tips to help them create a stylish and versatile wardrobe that works as hard as they do. Plus, they’ll enjoy 15 percent off their entire purchase.”

Dressbarn knows that a teacher’s day frequently doesn’t end when the school day does. “A teacher’s wardrobe often needs to carry her from dawn through dinner, so it needs to be easy-to-wear and versatile enough to look professional in every situation,” explains Behrens. “At dressbarn, we feature stylish separates that mix-and-match to stretch wardrobe budgets,” adds Behrens. “For example, a light-weight cardigan in one of this fall’s hot colors can take a basic dress or a pair of tailored pants from the classroom to a dinner date without missing a fashion step.”

Dressbarn, a division of dressbarn inc (NASDAQ — DBRN), is a national women’s specialty apparel retailer offering casual and career fashion apparel. Dressbarn stores carry styles in sizes four to 24, as well as shoes and accessories. As of June 2010, dressbarn inc’s three brands operated over 830 dressbarn stores in 47 states, over 750 maurices stores in 44 states, and over 900 Justice stores in 45 states, Puerto Rico, Russia and the Middle East.
