New York—Kangol’s iconic Kangaroo-logoed headwear has long been sought after since Field Marshal “Monty” Montgomery sported them during World War II right up through their place atop hip-hop star such as LL Cool J, Eminem, and The Notorious B.I.G.
Now the brand is ratcheting up its cool factor this fall with the introduction of its cold weather collection for women’s, men’s and children. Fabrications include a mix of leather, wool, angora, cashmere, cotton and acrylic. And styles range from driving gloves to tech-touch knit gloves to cable and mesh scarves. As with Kangolʼs headwear, many cold weather styles have unisex appeal.
“Since autumn/winter is such an important season for the brand, we wanted to round out our offering to give our customers a one stop shop for their cold weather needs,” said Julie
Swan, managing director at Kangol. “Weʼre excited about the selection of colors and trend-driven silhouettes and have received a great response from our retailers.”
Kangol.com and the brandʼs New York and London retail stores introduced the cold weather collection as a soft launch for winter, but the line will officially launch across Kangolʼs wholesale channels this fall. Suggested retails range from $40 to $100.
