Los Angeles—Nicky Hilton says she’s about to fulfill one of her life-long dreams: creating her own jewelry collection. The 26-year-old celebutante, sister to Paris Hilton and great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the hotel chain, is partnering with Titan Brands on a fashion jewelry line.
“I am a crazy jewelry collector. I’ve always known since I was a teenager that I wanted to do a line,” Hilton reportedly said, adding that she has been collecting flea market finds from around the world as inspiration. Some of the Art Deco-inspired pieces in the collection were inspired by David Webb jewelry that her mother and grandmother wore.
The collection, which wholesales between $35 to $480, is makes its debut on Endless.com in September and will be offered to department and specialty stores. She has attended Fashion Institute of Technology and Parson’s School of Design in New York, but didn’t finish her degree.
This isn’t Hilton’s first foray into fashion. She has attended Fashion Institute of Technology and Parson’s School of Design in New York, but didn’t finish her degree. She launched her own clothing line, Chick by Nicky Hilton in 2004 and has also designed a line of handbags for Japanese company Samantha Thavasa from 2002 to 2005. In 2007, she started another more upscale capsule apparel collection called “Nicholai.” She also previously created a jewelry line for Claire’s Accessories in 2006.
Hilton, who says she had “tons and tons” of offers, decided on Titan Brands after meeting its ceo Chad C. Haggar. “He really shared my vision of high quality without high price tags.”
