New York—The FIFA World Cup has thrown the world into soccer (ahem, football) fever, and watch company Hublot has been there every second of the way. The first-ever luxury watch official timekeeper of the Cup, the Swiss watch brand will host a series of exclusive VIP screenings for the final four games at Cipriani Wall Street’s Club 55 in New York.
Starting July 6, events include a Hublot Café and Bar where guests can view games at the private cinema room while enjoying Hublotist-themed drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Guests can also view select Hublot summer and sports timepieces, including the limited-edition watch of the FIFA World Cup. Maradona limited edition and the Manchester United will also be available.
“We’re happy to offer this experience to Hublot and World Cup fans alike”, says Hublot’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver. “The Cup is such a wonderful fusion of humanity and passions with thousands of different expressions and colors. It reminds me of a saying I heard a few days ago from a big soccer fan: ‘The Earth is round because God loves soccer.’”
Hublot will also create a “Hublot world” experience to provide additional entertainment. Guests will enjoy a special music, a Wii console to take on the roles of their favorite soccer players and more.
