Las Vegas—Sterling silver jewelry designer Thomas Sabo recently opened his second store here with a party that included guest VIPs such as Nicky Hilton, socialite Olivia Palermo and professional BMX rider Ricardo Laguna. To mark the event, Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman declared “Thomas Sabo Day.”
Sabo opened its first shop in Germany 25 years ago and now his sterling silver jewelry for men and women can be found in 160 Thomas Sabo stores on five continents and more than 2,000 retail doors.
Saying that Las Vegas is one of the best retail destinations in the world, Sabo said he decided to add another Vegas location in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel next door to TAO, one of the city’s hottest nightspots. Sabo already has a store at the Fashion Show Mall in Vegas.
“To commemorate our bond with Las Vegas, we have designed some special jewelry and charms that represent the heart and passion of the city,” said Sabo. A rock ‘n roll inspired collection with some crystal studded skulls are the centerpieces of the new collection. The first Thomas Sabo watch collection is offered in the store that features a silver and black décor highlighted with pops of orange.
Sabo is probably best know for his Charm Club, a collection of more than 400 charms that can be mixed and matched on bracelets, necklaces, earrings and mobile phones.
