Monaco—While it isn’t likely that you’ll see a red carpet photos of the event, it hardly matters when the worldwide competition for the best advertising and marketing campaigns in luxurygoods is held in Monaco.
Founded in 2008, the World Luxury Awards is a juried competition to honor creative excellence in luxurygoods advertising and communications. The awards are given in more than a dozen categories including fashion and style, cars and yachts, perfume and cosmetics, beverages, food etc., awarded by a panel of judges representing eight countries.
This year, agencies from France dominated the awards announced this week with Fred & Farid Paris taking home the most awards, eight including top honors in two categories.
In the film section the winner was Dior’s “J’Adore” film, created by TBWA Paris and Wanda Films with Charlize Theron, director: Jean-Jacques Annaud. Other World Luxury Film finalists: Diesel, YSL, Braun, Evian.
In Digital, the agency Furious Monkeys won twice with a Facebook campaign for Giorgio Armani Fragrances Acqua Di Gio and a worldwide Kisser Casting for Martini. Other digital finalists: Maserati, Miss Dior, Lacome.
