Minneapolis–Michelle Obama might have put him on the fashion map, but now you can afford to put him in your closet.

Target is gearing up for its next and widely anticipated designer collaboration—Jason Wu—set to hit stores on February 5 and made affordable for the masses.

But after its infamous Missoni for Target debacle, where store mobs and a website crash kept willing customers from their purchases, we can only assume that the fast-fashion retailer has stocked up better this time and ironed out the glitches.

It will pay off, as the 53-piece Jason Wu preview reveals crisp, clean, wearable merchandise. And while everything is 100% on-trend, nothing is trendy in that “here today, gone tomorrow” way. Merchandise is ladylike and pretty, all inspired by French new wave films, according to Wu, a Taiwanese-born designer now based in New York.

Apparel tops out at $59.99 for a dress, while accessories start at $19.99 for a scarf. Handbags, clutches and totes are all structured, with contrast piping, pretty florals and sleek stripes.

So the February 5 countdown begins. Get your credit card ready, or at least your running shoes if you plan to score the best pieces in the stores.
