Bell sees big opportunities across all categories of business, especially as men take more fashion risks. A major push for both genders into fun, colorful socks has helped boost the company, which was founded in 1979 and purchased by Renfro Corp. in 2010.
Under the direction of chief design officer Karen Bell, the company has put a renewed focus on its own brand too, featuring fashion socks, tights, knee-highs, novelty socks, anklets, sport socks, over-the-knee styles and more. Brands include K. Bell, K. Bell Collection, KB Sport, K. Bell Men’s, K. Bell Sport, K. Bell Kids (boys and girls). Licenses include Laurel Burch, The Girls and Sperry Top-Sider.
Unique blends that mix modal, nylon, spandex, cotton, polyester and rubber in the perfect combinations make the socks comfortable, breathable and durable.
For Spring 15, K. Bell is focusing on colorful repeating patterns in fun items like food; ocean/surfer motifs for men, and ruffled knee-highs with subtle textural detailing. The company also continues to grow its American Made program.
