Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Kristin Cavallari debuted the Fall/Winter collection from her jewelry line Uncommon James during New York Fashion Week last night at Bagatelle NYC, hosted by Kia Style 360. A Who’s Who of fashion insiders were in attendance to celebrate the launch and preview the latest offerings from the reality star’s footwear line for Chinese Laundry.

Uncommon James’ fall line follows Cavallari’s premier collection, launched this May, of minimalist-chic pieces. The designer tells Accessories Magazine to expect more sleek, easy offerings moving forward. “Every collection I will do, as far as I can see, will be pretty minimalistic. That’s just so true to who I am as a person and my style,” she says. “I wanted a line that was effortless and easy. I want you to throw on these pieces and never take them off, to be able to mix-and-match with whatever’s in your closet. I don’t want you to spend 10 minutes every morning trying to figure out what jewelry to wear.”

But in Cavallari’s book, minimal does not equal boring. The new line features geometric ear cuffs, studs, stackable rings and gold necklaces perfect for layering.

That effortless aesthetic is right in step with the starlet’s fall line for Chinese Laundry, which includes suede mules, lace-up pumps and an array of chic booties—Cavallari’s favorite. “Fall is my favorite for the booties. White booties are so trendy right now, and I love the white bootie that’s in my collection,” she offers. “It’s a block heel and it’s not super high, so you can wear it day to night. I think booties are great because you can throw them on with any simple outfit and instantly feel chic.”

Cavallari is excited about the white footwear trend and her new Starlight Bootie for Chinese Laundry.

After more than five years collaborating with the brand, Cavallari says she still gets excited to design a collection. “It’s such a dream come true. I’m so thankful for them to give me the opportunity about five years ago,” she says. “I’m a shoe girl at heart. I’ll always be the shoe girl.”
