Always anticipated for its gorgeous imagery and vivid storytelling, Prada’s latest marketing campaign does not disappoint. The message for Fall/Winter ’17, called “365,” presents six new visual identities that reflect the multifaceted nature of the designer.
Illustrated in photography and film by Willy Vanderperre, the Fall/Winter 2017 campaign progresses like captured moments from cinematic visions, says a Prada news release. Throughout six movements (called Pièce de Chambre, Affiches, Chiaroscuro, Mise-en-Scène and Viewfinder), Vanderperre echoes the intimate nature and alternate realities shown in Prada’s FW17 womenswear presentations.
“The cultural breadth of each collection, the intricacies inherent in each, requires deeper analysis,” the release reads. “365 reflects this diversity and thematic richness—it is fashion advertising as metaverse, each campaign presenting a microcosm of Prada.”
