The event was attended by over 850 of the top industry powerhouses, retail management and buyers from all the major stores and manufacturers in accessories.

FABB’S FAME AWARD
(FASHION ACCESSORIES MERCHANDISING EXCELLENCE)

EVP, GMM Accessories, Jewelry, Children's & Juniors, Kohl's

Amy Kocourek, EVP, GMM Accessories, Jewelry, Children’s & Juniors, Kohl’s

Kohl’s Accessories and Jewelry Team was awarded the FABB FAME (Fashion Accessories Merchandising Excellence) Award for its outstanding work in accessories retailing.

“I want to thank our team at Kohl’s for stepping out on new ideas and taking risks to show up in unexpected and innovative ways,” said Amy Kocourek, EVP/GMM Accessories, Jewelry, Children’s & Juniors, Kohl’s. “It takes a lot to stand out in retail today. It’s not enough to just put great product in the store, you have to tell stories. We are on a mission at Kohl’s to tell stories for some of the most loved brands in unexpected ways.

“Last month we launched REED and we told the story of REED across handbags and apparel in the front of all of our stores. This is one of the biggest handbag launches we have ever done partnering with Global Brands. It’s a FIRST and we love first.  It’s a first for Reed himself to work with a retailer on a collaboration of this size and a first for Kohl’s to launch a limited time accessories collaboration.”

FABB ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Ivanka Trump was awarded the FABB Achievement Award for her outstanding achievement for her apparel, shoes, handbags and jewelry lines. Liz Rodbell, president of Hudson’s Bay Company presented the award.

“We are very successful with her brand,” says Rodbell. “What Ivanka has done is pretty fantastic. She’s very involved, engaged and doesn’t ‘loan her name out’ at all. She handles so much–she’s built a global lifestyle brand, not to mention that she’s executive vice president of the whole real estate business working on acquisitions, she’s the epitome of women who work and has done tremendous work with the #womenwhowork initiative. AND she’s a mother of three! When she was expanding her brand, we got to know each other and she was kind enough a few years to introduce me at FABB. It’s an honor to do it for her.”

Ivanka Trump was thrilled for her award as well, especially since her brother Eric was also recognized and in the FABB audience.

“I’m honored and excited about this FABB Achievement Award,” said Ivanka. “This is particularly an amazing night as my brother is also receiving an award for the work done helping the children of Saint Jude. I also feel deeply passionate about my fashion brand, and this award is a tremendous validation of all my hard work and the response of the customers to our designs.”
