Couldn’t make it to Baselworld last week?
Not to worry.
Many of the newsmaking timepieces wowed crowds at the Swiss show will be making their stateside debut during the Sixth Madison Avenue Watch Week slated for the week of April 13-20.
Organized by the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District and sponsored by the Wall Street Journal to promote the stretch of Madison between 57th and 71st Streets as America’s “center of haute horologie,” the event is intended as a consumer-oriented orgy of touching and trying on the latest, the greatest, the rarest, and the priciest pieces. Most boutiques will be scheduling private appointments for what Panerai refers to as “product novelties,” and Jaeger-LeCoultre will host watchmaking classes throughout the week.
There is no admission charge, but attendees are strongly encouraged to preregister.
