Los Angeles—We know shoes are the foundation of any great outfit, so when we heard junior lifestyle brand YMI, known for its top-selling denim, was debuting a new accessories line of footwear and handbags—we had to see if the shoe fits.

YMI announced early this month its collaboration with Blank Generation’s Noir Empire division will feature junior footwear, handbags and small leather goods available just in time for fall delivery.
“We see this partnership as a great match,” said Deke Jamieson, executive vice president of marketing and licensing at YMI. “Blank Generation’s youthful culture and successful track record in footwear and handbags makes them a perfect partner.”
The line includes trendy pumps, flats, wedges, boots and booties along with coordinated arm candy in a wide array of colors and materials that encourage YMI consumers to complete a “top to bottom” look.
David Vered, YMI’s president, explained, “The addition of these new categories from Blank Generation is an important part of YMI’s planned growth. We will continue to strategically extend our brand to other product areas in support of rising consumer demand for new YMI merchandise.”
Retail price points for the footwear and handbags are $29 to $79 and the collection will be sold both in stores and on the brand’s e-commerce site– YMIJeans.com.
