In October, we wear pink…Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease (which impacts nearly one in eight women in the U.S.) and raise funds for prevention and treatment. Every year, the fashion community bands together to create products that benefit various Breast Cancer Awareness non-profits in every little girl’s favorite color. Here are our favorites for 2017:
For each piece purchased from Kendra Scott’s Breast Cancer Awareness collection, the brand will gift a piece of Rose Quartz jewelry to women battling breast cancer at local oncology treatment centers. Kendra Scoot will also give 20% back to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation from sales of those styles.
Magnonne Gavigan released two sets of special-edition earrings to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, donating 15% of net sales from each October purchase to the organization.
New Balance’s Lace Up for the Cure Collection of sneakers and apparel donates 5% of SRP of sales to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Privé Revaux will be donating 50% of proceeds on four sunglass styles to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Throughout the month of October, sales from The Escobar, The Artist, The Madam and The Sweetheart in pink will support this worthy cause.
Activewear brand Vimmia pledges to directly donate 20% of proceeds from sales of its Warrior One Breast Cancer Awareness leggings on vimmia.com to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Brahmin will donate a portion of proceeds for every Burlwood Melbourne purchase on brahmin.com through the end of October to National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Dogeared will donate 40% of retail sales from its Breast Cancer Awareness collection to NBCF to provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.
Along with social content initiatives, Koral Co-Founder/Creative Director Ilana Kugel has created a limited-edition pink baseball cap, and 25% of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to fund ongoing research.
Stella & Dot and Keep Collective have created a “Better Together” boutique, a curated collection of signature products dedicated to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For each item purchased, all net proceeds will benefit Bright Pink, a non-profit focused on prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women.
Alala will be donating 30% of proceeds generated from a group of specially selected styles in support of the Weill Cornell Breast Center with the Iris Cantor Women’s Health Center at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $5,000 in 2017.
