TOGA STYLE DRESSES HERE

SAM EDELMAN HEELS

.

Togas were initially worn in Greece, in ancient Rome. Today, at fraternity parties. The toga (one-shouldered dress) is a fun and easy wear. So simple: just add some heels and neutral makeup. Maybe try a new hairstyle (braids, big waves?) I’m not good at hair, so I stuck with my flat-iron on this one. 😉

Liya Kebede in Roberto Cavalli — Cannes Film Festival

In Blogs by poshglamLeave a Comment

It’s that time of year again, Festival de Cannes. We’re in love with Liya Kebede in Roberto Cavalli, always timeless and tasteful, the model shows us how sexy meets demure is done. Her warm skin perfectly complements the dazzling dress and the low-v cut suits her slim frame modestly. She’s typically not the PR pusher, […]

Skirt: Club Monaco | Sweater: LL Bean | Tee: Vince | Handbag: Valentino | Rings: Roman Luxe | Lipgloss: Urban Decay Naked
My favorite way to dress down my embellished (aka fancy) skirts are by pairing them with a simple tee and sweater cardi! I wore this outfit during the day with my booties and then slipped on my nude Louboutins for night. Easy!

I wore this while we explored a variety of antique shops, Downtown Savannah. The weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold. Just right, with a touch of sun. The shoes did give me blisters unfortunately though. They were new and it was my first time “breaking them in” not such a great idea… I felt better when we popped into a CVS for bottled water and the checkout girl complimented my shoes profusely. I blushed and smiled back a warm thank you. 🙂

I put this look together at home, when I first started packing for our honeymoon. I’ve been waiting to wear this little crochet top, although somewhat see through, for some while now. I thought it would look adorable with these shorts and shoes. Then I thought, hmm, is this too risky? You can see my bra through this top. So, I turned to this soft sweater as a semi cover up piece.

What do you think of my look of the day? Thanks for your comments! 🙂

Romper: Madewell | Blazer: Joseph via The OUTNET | Bag: Lancaster (if in US – the other red options) | Shoes: Pedro Garcia (so comfy!) | Cuff: Hermes (similar here) | Lipstick: MAC Pink Nouveau

Wanted to give a quick hello! I’m leaving for Paris later tonight and in typical fashion, left packing until the very last minute. I wish I was somebody who was naturally organized and packed ahead of time, but nopeeeee! Don’t think it’s in my DNA.

The weather in Paris is supposed to be in the high 60’s, so I’ll be packing lots of light layers, including this romper I’m wearing. I feel like rompers are one of those things people either love or hate and I’m definitely one who has always loved them. They’re just so easy, while still making me feel put together. Obviously I feel differently when I’m staying true to my New Years resolution and drinking lots of water. I guess you win some, you lose some.

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week and stay tuned for some posts from Paris!

I took a racer back maxi dress and wore it alone at first, yet found it too plain, boring and blah… by itself. Then, I threw this boxy cut t-shirt on top and knotted it at the waist. Making it less about messy layers and more about clean layers. Do you like the final look?

When I really like something, I tend to get the item in multiple colors. Whether it’s a pair of shoes  or in todays case, this dress. I picked it up both in white and black and have already worn both of them more than once. Future brides: if you have a bridal shower coming up, or any wedding related activities, I highly recommend! I love that it really acts like a blank canvas and can be worn in a simple way or jazzed up with accessories and some fun shoes. Bonus points for being under $100!
