Item of the Day: Hammitt Los Angeles

Hammitt FetsItem of the Day: Hammitt Los Angeles

Even though Hammitt handbags are from LA, we think that this bag is the quintessential New York piece.

Here’s why:

First, it’s black.  Done.

Second, it’s got semi-subtle gold rivets up and down the sides, because us New Yorkers like a little bit of flash—even though we like to pretend that we don’t.

Third, it’s slouchy with a big enough shoulder drop that it will fit over any coat, because–hello!–we actually walk everywhere, rain, shine, sleet or snow. Like your mailman. But better dressed.

Fourth, it’s got the coolest criss-cross pocket system on the front and back for our never-ending supply of gadgets, gear and gum.

Fifth, it’s called The Fets (the first name of Stef Hammitt spelled backwards), proving that style doesn’t always have to take itself too seriously. And amen to that!

Retail: $695.
