Forever 21 Was Fastest-Growing Retailer on Instagram in April

InstagramSavvy retailers are learning how to use Instagram to attract, and keep, customers interested. The key is “engagement,” where consumers click “like” on photos (actually, a “heart” on Instagram).

Each month, digital marketing agency Stylophane publishes list of brands and retailers doing it right on social media.

These aren’t just retailers that post a lot of photos, but those that get comments from their customers as they come back to see more.

Forever 21For the Top 100 fastest-growing retailers on Instagram in April 2014, Forever 21, H&M and Topshop are the top three.

Here’s the numerical breakdown of social engagement by the top three retailers:

Forever 21 had 234,346 new followers in April for a total of almost 3.4 million followers (7.41% growth). The company has 8 million photo “likes” and 39,465 comments for an engagement score of 358.85.

H&M had 194,924 new followers in April for a total of 2.17 million followers (9.86% growth). The company had 2.26 million photo “likes” and 19,294 comments for an engagement score of 166.49.

Topshop had 123,130 new followers in April for a total of 2.1 million followers (6.24% growth). The company had 4.02 million photo “likes” and 34,808 comments for an engagement score of 182.24.
