South San Francisco—Coming just in time for Hello Kitty’s 40th anniversary: a collaboration between Sanrio, Inc., the global lifestyle brand best known for its Hello Kitty, and Chan Luu, the jewelry designer recognized for her popular handmade wrap bracelets.
Launching this summer, the collection will fuse the iconic style of Hello Kitty with Chan Luu’s signature combination of organic shapes, natural materials and handmade construction.
The Hello Kitty x Chan Luu collection will feature a range of Chan Luu’s trademark styles, including wrap bracelets, cuffs and layering necklaces with select pieces accented by Swarovski crystals, fine lace, semiprecious stones and sterling silver Hello Kitty charms. The collection will also feature a “soft and elegant” color palette and will retail from $80 for a single bracelet to $208 for a 5-wrap bracelet.
Available in stores and online in August, the collection can be purchased at www.sanrio.com, www.chanluu.com, and select retailers nationwide. The collection will also be available in Japan at the Chan Luu Aoyama store as well as select Japan retailers in early September.
