When one thinks of designer “signature print leathers,” the knee-jerk reaction is often classic brown leather designs printed in Italy. But that’s far too basic for Berry Brown, who got her start as a fine artist, jeweler and home accessories designer.

Having developed her own painted “signature,” her prints are then silk-screened in Brooklyn in various, eclectic colors. And, as they’re all done by hand, no two leathers are exactly alike.

The unusual color combos (fuschia with orange piping; turquoise and mustard with orange trim; lime green with purple) set the brand apart from those more conventional “signature” leathers.

The Berry Brown line comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, most with a special twist, like exaggerated North/South totes. Because if you’re going for a unique signature, there’s no reason to always color in the lines!

Retails range from $374 for the wristlet to $1,650 for the tote.
