Miami, FL—Rafaella, the popular women’s sportswear brand known for its “Perfect Fitting Pant,” will soon be marketing the “perfect accessories” as well.
Perry Ellis International Inc., which owns Rafaella, announced last week that it entered into a license agreement with Fantasia Accessories Ltd. for Rafaella brand accessories. Scheduled to debut at retail by holiday, Rafaella-brand accessories will include handbags, belts, small leathergoods, hats, scarves and cold weathergoods.
“Fantasia is an industry leader in its category and the perfect partner for bringing the quality and aesthetic that the Rafaella woman expects through these exciting product extensions,” said Oscar Feldenkreis, president/chief operating officer of Perry Ellis International. “We are excited about the potential of this agreement in bringing a full product lifestyle to our customers, and look forward to working together on a successful launch.”
Targeted retailers for the accessories will include Rafaella’s major accounts, such as Lord & Taylor, Bon-Ton, Belk, and rafaellasportswear.com, as well as other department and specialty stores in North America.

New accessories collections aren’t the only new direction for Rafaella. Perry Ellis International also recently signed Cuban-born actress, model and dancer Aylin Mujica as its Rafaella brand ambassador.
Mujica will appear as the face of the brand on www.rafaellasportswear.com, social media channels, and in the brand’s image and advertising campaigns. Not to mention, Mujica will be doing select personal appearances on behalf of Rafaella throughout the year.

Mujica is well-known to viewers of Telemundo where she’s played Fernanda, the villain in Corazon Valiente and played a lead role in the theatrical production of Obscuro Total, She has also co-hosted Latin Billboards for six consecutive years and the Mexican Billboards for the past five years.
